Hello, I'm

Muhammad Abdus Sobur

AWS Solutions Architect and Cisco CyberOps Associate with experience in cloud infrastructure, security, Infrastructure as Code, incident response, Linux, and network security.

About Me

Muhammad Abdus Sobur

I build and automate AWS infrastructure for production systems. My day-to-day involves designing event-driven architectures, writing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and AWS CDK, and building serverless applications that solve real operational problems.

I currently work at Dyn Media where I support live streaming operations and develop internal cloud tooling — automated monitoring pipelines, security alerting platforms, and self-service provisioning portals serving a multi-account AWS Organization (~70 accounts).

Pursuing my M.Sc. in Communication Systems and Networks at TH Köln, with a B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Certified AWS Solutions Architect and Cisco CyberOps Associate.

  • Monitored live match data streams in real time, ensuring accuracy and availability of live systems during high-traffic broadcast events.
  • Provided first-level technical support during live operations, identifying issues, creating tickets, and coordinating with engineering teams for rapid resolution.
  • Maintained and monitored AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, EventBridge, Lambda) supporting production streaming platforms across multiple environments.
  • Developed internal automation tools and Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform, AWS CDK, and Python to improve operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshot network connectivity, device, and system-related issues to minimize downtime during critical live events.
  • Managed internal IT operations including user onboarding/offboarding, access management, and device provisioning.

Automated Pipeline Monitoring with AWS DevOps Agent

Dyn Media2026

Designed and implemented an event-driven incident response system that detects Step Function pipeline failures via EventBridge, triggers a Lambda function to construct HMAC-signed webhook payloads, and sends them to AWS DevOps Agent for autonomous root cause analysis delivered to Slack. Reduced detection time from hours to under 5 minutes with zero manual investigation.

AWS Account Self-Service Portal

Dyn Media2025

Built a full-stack serverless portal for provisioning AWS accounts via Account Factory for Terraform (AFT). React frontend with guided forms auto-generates Terraform HCL, creates Git branches, and opens PRs via GitHub API. Features OAuth 2.0 PKCE auth (Cognito + Azure AD), RBAC with custom JWT claims, DynamoDB request tracking, and CloudFront + API Gateway + Lambda architecture.

AWS IAM Access Analyzer — Automated Alerting Platform

Dyn Media2026

Deployed three IAM Access Analyzer modules (external, internal, unused access) with Terraform for a multi-account AWS Organization (~70 accounts). Built automated Slack alerting via EventBridge and Lambda with severity filtering, cross-account Security Hub aggregation, shared Secrets Manager pattern, and OIDC-authenticated CI/CD pipelines.

Central Event Hub Infrastructure

Dyn Media2025

Built a production-grade, multi-environment event-driven architecture with AWS CDK (TypeScript). Features EventBridge custom bus, SNS routing, JSON schema validation, cross-account access via DynamoDB-driven policies, auto-generated TypeScript types as NPM packages, and 6 CI/CD workflows with OIDC auth. Deployed across 4 environments with zero-touch automation.

VoIP Service Provider Network Implementation & SIP/RTP Traffic Analysis

TH KölnApr 2025 – Jul 2025

Designed and implemented a simulated VoIP service provider network using Cisco routers/switches, Asterisk PBX, and SIP endpoints. Configured SPAN port monitoring to capture live SIP/RTP traffic, measured call setup performance (204 ms latency, 85.6 kbps throughput), and tested NAT traversal scenarios. Interconnected two independent VoIP provider domains using SIP trunks with codec transcoding.

QoS Analysis in VoIP Enterprise LAN

TH KölnSep 2024 – Jan 2025

Analyzed VoIP deployment in a QoS-enabled IP network with three local subnets. Improved voice communication quality by applying QoS techniques such as traffic classification, packet marking, and advanced queuing. Evaluated the impact of latency, jitter, and packet loss on VoIP performance and recommended suitable QoS mechanisms for reliable, high-quality voice communication over IP networks.

Smart Shoe Locker Using RFID Technology For Mosque

International Islamic University ChittagongSep 2018 – Dec 2018

Designed and developed a smart locker system to prevent shoe theft in mosques during prayer times. The system uses RFID-based access control, where each locker is assigned a unique RFID tag. A microcontroller verifies the tag ID and activates a relay-driven solenoid lock to unlock the locker. IR sensors detect shoe presence, while LED indicators show locker status: green for available and red for occupied.

Vehicle Control & Collision Avoidance System

International Islamic University Chittagong2018

Designed a vehicle safety system using ultrasonic sensors, a microcontroller, and a GSM module. The system detects obstacles in front and on the sides, adjusting vehicle speed to prevent collisions. It slows down or stops the motor based on proximity, with real-time alerts via LCD display and buzzer. In case of an accident, the GSM module sends an emergency message with vehicle details to authorities.
